I started Evlo with a clear vision for a science-based fitness program that drives fitness results without compromising joint or hormonal health.

As a former physical therapist, I worked with too many patients who were broken down from their fitness routine. They could squat twice their body weight but couldn’t run around the yard with their kids without knee pain.

I dealt with my own history of chronic pain from aggressive fitness routines. I used to think exercise needed to leave me in a pool of sweat (completely exhausted) to be effective.

Heavy squats and overhead presses or long bootcamp classes felt horrible on my body. Pilates and yoga always felt better, but they weren’t enough to drive physical change.

So I wanted to create a method based on the latest literature around building muscle, but that didn’t leave me feeling broken down.

Evlo is that method. My dream and vision is that Gentle Consistency™ becomes the norm in the fitness industry. That we see exercise as a tool to build us up, not break us down.
