If you’re looking for a training method that will be effective and still feel good, you’re in the right place.

Evlo’s exercise selection and structured programming ensures each muscle group gets proper stimulus without being overworked. This creates adaptation in your body without leaving you feeling overly sore and depleted. 

We craft each exercise with an understanding of how angles of resistance will load your muscles.

We only hire Doctors of Physical Therapy to teach classes, as it takes a deep understanding of physics, muscle function, and joint mechanics to plan and instruct our classes.

Frequently asked questions

Is music played during class? 

We’ve got you covered. Choose from a list of genres to get access to popular music played directly over classes. Adjust the volume of both the music and the instructor to find your perfect sound. 

What equipment will I need?

To make workouts effective from the comfort of your own home, investing in equipment is an important part of the process. Here is the list of equipment we recommend to get the most out of your Evlo workouts.

Will I need to do cardio on the side? 

We believe cardio is “overdosed” in the fitness industry. We have short and optional low- and high-intensity cardio classes that can be built into your schedule. In addition to the workouts, we recommend low-intensity cardio (like walking) 10-30 minutes most days of the week.

Can I cancel any time? 

You can cancel any time within your trial period without being charged. You can also cancel before your next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the following month. Once you cancel, you will have access to the membership for the rest of your billing cycle.

How do I know which classes to take?

When you sign up for Evlo, you’ll be taken through an onboarding assessment. Your homepage will populate based on this assessment, signaling which classes to take on which days. No more guesswork or endless scrolling. 

How long are the workouts? 

Class length will depend on how many days a week you prefer to workout. The 3X per week tracks feature two ~60 minute classes and one 35 minute class per week. Classes on the 4X and 5X per week tracks are all 35 minutes. 

Choose an Evlo Mini (20 minutes or less) if you need to grab a shorter option. 

I have an injury. Is Evlo safe for me? 

We pride ourselves on creating classes that offer lots of modifications so you feel safe and successful. However, because we can’t evaluate your individual needs, please get clearance from your doctor or physical therapist before starting our program.

Is Evlo prenatal and postpartum safe? 

We always recommend getting clearance from your medical provider if you are pregnant or postpartum.

Once clearance has been given, we have expertly-curated programs to guide you through your entire pregnancy and to aid in a gentle return to fitness postpartum (beginning as early as two weeks). 

What if I just want to lose fat? 

Evlo is a muscle building fitness platform. We include nutrition programs and guides created exclusively by Registered Dietitians to assist with body recomposition (gaining muscle while losing fat) if that is your goal. However, if your goal is to just lose fat without gaining muscle, Evlo may not be the program for you. 

What if I’m new to lifting? 

Evlo is for people at all different fitness levels. You will begin your journey with Evlo in our Foundations program. This program features more in-depth form breakdowns and education at an easier to follow pace. You can stay in this program for as long as needed before transitioning to our weekly tracks. 

Is Evlo Diastasis Recti (DR) Friendly?

One of the most important things when it comes to exercising with DR is understanding how to manage your intra-abdominal pressure. Within our classes, we educate on how to coordinate this with core work and beyond. However, if you find that you are consistently coning or doming down your midline, feel increased pressure through the pelvic floor, experience leaking, pain or other symptoms, we would recommend working with a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to ensure you are not exacerbating your DR with exercise. 

How can I combine Evlo with other fitness classes?

Evlo is a comprehensive program. It does not need to be combined with other classes like Pilates, Barre, Bootcamp, etc. We recommend following one of our weekly tracks + completing 150 minutes of cardio per week. The platform includes cardio classes that can contribute to this goal as well as recovery classes like Flow, Move & Meditate, and more. You can find all of these support classes on the Library tab! 

It’s difficult for us to give advice on how to incorporate exercise classes outside of Evlo into the Evlo programming as we cannot be sure how or which muscle groups are being worked. However, if you wish to incorporate other classes, we’d recommend at least a day between your Evlo class and the non-Evlo class to ensure that you’re not working muscle groups on consecutive days. Note that we cannot guarantee the same results with this method!
